Hey Hey Blogland

I still love y'all even though I don't post that often anymore. I'm going to try and do better. Today is a good day for posting because the kids are gone and my husband went to Cedar Point. Moe and I are just chillin on the sofa, although I should be putting up all this stuff I brought back from the Mall of America.

Last Thursday, my family and I headed off to the Mall of America. I had to be in Minneapolis for business on Friday so I decided to take them with me since we hadn't planned a family vacation this year. Let me say that I had an AWESOME time with my family. It felt so good to have the four of us together for a solid four days straight. The Mall was great. I cleaned up on shoes. I think I got around six or seven pair. I didn't go overboard because I got about 6 pair in Chicago a couple of weeks ago. My daughter purchased at least 8 pair and my son overdosed on Cole Haans. Nordstrom's Rack is the shyt for shoes. We also went to a the Nicolette Mall in downtown Minneapolis and we went to an outlet mall in Albertville that had 120 store (I got the cutest red coach from the Coach outlet), probably the nicest one I've ever been to and I've been to dozens of them. Minneapolis is a cool city to visit. I had no idea it was such a nice place. I will definitely go back to visit again.

I'm still on my diet, although I did have some of the white stuff while I was on my vacation. I had Coldstone and it was delicious. I've lost anywhere between 6 and 12lbs depending on which scale I use, I'm inclined to believe the one that says 12 pounds of course.

I'm trying to decide if I'm going to the Caribana festival in Toronto next weekend. I used to love Caribana, but it's been taken over by the kids I hear. Hell, my daughter is going with her friends. I love Toronto, so I just might go to shop and chill.

I have to the two of the Hot Girls a BIG congratulations. Mama Chele and Tee got promoted or their freedom papers as we like to say at work. They both worked hard for it and are very deserving.

I think I'm going to add some celebrity gossip back to the blog. I keep seeing good stuff that I don't see posted on any other blogs. Maybe I'll have gossip day, like on a Wednesday or something.

I might update this post late, but that's it for now.

HOLLA!

I'm Having Withdrawals........

from the white stuff! Your girl is a junkie.....Keep reading.

Yesterday I started a new way of eating. One that I can deal with and not have to count calories, carbs, fat, or points. Basically I cut out all the "white stuff" flour, sugar, bread, and potatoes. I make sure that I have at least 6 servings of fruits and vegatables, 3 servings of lean meats, and 2 servings of a fat free milk products. I also allow myself fiber-rich whole grains and I drink plenty of zero calorie fluids and water.

Why do I feel weak and walking around with a headache? I not hungry, but I feel like my body is missing something. My body wants the bad stuff. It wants burgers, pizza, any kind of pasta, chips, cake, and chocolate! It's weird because I'm not craving those things. My son had a pizza last night and I didn't want any. The had a delicious Costco chocolate cake in the free food cube at work, which is directly across from cubicle! It smelled so good. I just wanted to lick a little bit of the frosting. It got to be too much for me and now that cube is no longer the "free food zone". I had to carry that cake up the road to anothe cube.

I caught a side glimpse of myself in the mirror and thought I was looking a different person. That was it for me. I knew I had to lose weight immediately. I knew that I couldn't put it off another day. A couple of years ago, I had lost weight really good, but due to a health crisis I put it back on and some more with it.

I'm not a big eater. I don't eat up everything in sight, it's more my lifestyle. I'm a busy woman with my hands in a lot shyt. I'm also an insomniac that isn't getting much sleep at all. If you combine the two together you get busy tired woman. I eat on the go, dine out, and order in a lot. There is not a lot of cooking going on. I also admit, I don't make the best choices. I LOVE Popeyes and pizza. I could eat it everyday. Don't mention a nice juicy steak......

My grandmother was ahead of time when it came to nutrition when I was growing up. We NEVER ate out except when we were traveling. I would have to wait until I went to visit my mom to get some fast food. My grandmother also didn't eat beef, pork, pasta and did she fry. The only milk we drank was skim powder. The only cereal we had in the house was Corn Flakes, Cheerios, and Raisin Bran. I swore when I had kids they could eat any darn cereal they wanted. I also said that my kids could eat McDonald's everyday if that's what they want to do! I spoiled the mess out of my kids with food when they were young. We always had all kinds of goodies in the house and they got as much Burger King and McDonald's as they wanter. Then I started noticing my daughter getting chunky (she's on the new plan of eating too) so I had to stop it. My deprivation caused me to over indulge my kids.

Enough of me psychoanalyzing myself, I got to get some fat off my azz. I'm also going to start going to the gym again once I get my energy back. I let y'all know how I'm coming along in case you care. I promised myself that I'd be in bed by 11, so I'm out.
